ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER WRAITH (1952)

BODYWORK:A combination of steam-bent birch ply sides and laminated European beech blocks, pinned and glued, hand carved and rubbed down using profile templates. Finished with ten top coats of cellulose paint mixed to match and lined out using flexible pvc pinstripes.


BRIGHTWORK:All hand made from brass including hand carved Flying Lady and radiator shell fabricated from brass sheet. Each component then polished, flash copper plated, nickel plated, followed by chromium plating.


INTERIOR:Interior panels and seats covered in fine leather dyed to match original colour. Burr walnut veneer dashboard and door cappings, suede carpet to match. All instrumentation correct to scale, knobs, interior handles, steering wheel etc hand made in painted brass.


WHEELS AND TYRES:Wheels turned from brass, chromium plated and painted with red pinstripe applied by brush. Tyres turned from Perspex bar with hand cut tread pattern, white wall painted in using rubber based paint.
