3 LITRE BENTLEY (1930)

BODYWORK:A combination of steam-bent birch ply sides and laminated European beech blocks, pinned and glued, hand carved and rubbed down using profile templates. Finished with 10 top coats of cellulose paint mixed to match and lined out using flexible pvc pinstripes.


BRIGHTWORK:All hand made from brass including radiator shell fabricated from brass sheet. Each component then polished, flash copper coated, followed by bright nickel plating.


INTERIOR:Interior panels and seats covered in fine leather dyed to match original colour. Burr walnut veneer dashboard and door cappings, suede carpet dyed to match. All instrumentation correct to scale, knobs, interior handles, steering wheel etc hand made in painted brass.


WHEELS AND TYRES:72 spoke wire wheels made using brass rims and hubs, hand laced using copper wire and painted to match bodywork. Tyres moulded in soft black rubber.
FOLDING HOOD:Made from black satin lined with cotton material, mounted on brass folding framework.
