FERRARI F40

BODYWORK: Built up from European beech blocks, glued and pinned together, hand carved and rubbed down using templates; louvres, intakes and grilles added before final rubbing down, priming and top coating with ten coats of cellulose paint.

INTERIOR: Interior panels and dashboard finished in dark grey spray finish. Seats carvedx from mahogany, spray finished in red to simulate fabric covering. Engine detail visible through rear window made from brass, aluminium and perspex components, spray painted accordingly.

REAR WINDOW: Vacuum formed in clear acetate sheet over a hand made mould, including louvres - cut out on completion.

WHEELS AND TYRES: Wheels turned from polished aluminium, laquered to prevent corrosion, mounted on stainless steel stub axles using centre locking nuts. Slick racing tyres moulded in soft black rubber.
